To export a swf file from Adobe Flash CS6 or CS5 to flash 10 or 10.1, just follow these steps below. You will have to manually install a flash 10 player (unless you already have support for it under file > publish settings). Lets go:

  1. Download Flashplayer 10.1 from Adobe’s Archived Flash Player. You will get a playerglobal.swc file.
  2. Put the playerglobal.swc in this folder on your computor: Go to program files or applications, then Adobe Flash CS6/Common/Configuration/ActionScript 3.0/FP10.1
(If the folder FP10.1 doesn’t exist, create it)
It should look something like this:
    /Adobe Flash CS6/Common/Configuration/ActionScript 3.0/FP10.1/playerglobal.swc
  3. Create a new file in a text editor and paste in this xml code. Save it as FlashPlayer10_1.xml and put the file in this folder:
    /Adobe Flash CS6/Common/Configuration/Players/FlashPlayer10_1.xml
  4. Make sure the path on line 10 match the exact path to your playerglobal.swc file:
